Hello! My name is Mikael Lindgren and I’m a game designer with plenty of experience in interactive media development. I have a broad knowledge in different genres ranging from kids games to hardcore action and shooters. My experience covers a variety of hardware platforms like Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo WII, PC and smartphones. Positions and titles have obviously varied over the past 20 years but I've always worked with the creative sides of things, either as game director, creative director or lead game designer in the entertainment industry.

I can provide general game design consulting, game audits on projects already in production, narrative design, product gamification, new game ideas (IP development) and pitching material, hardware and electronics prototyping (PCB and electronic circuit development). I also write and produce music and soundFX in my own studio.

Stuff I do and have done in the past

Educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, I begun my career doing art shows and installations often using computers and video feeds as an integral part of my art. However, my strong interest in new tech and the poor life as a free artist pushed me in another direction and soon I started working with games and interactive media more or less full time.

Today I'm working at SimWay, a small independent studio in Stockholm, where I'm focusing on different types of hardware interfaced simulators. Tasks varies from game design, UI graphics and design of hardware circuits with the overall goal of maximizing the user experience in every possible way.
